Open Source Perl Audio Conversion Software

A Linux CLI tool for converting multiple audio types from one format to another. It supports the following audio formats: 3G2, 3GP, 8SVX, AAC, AC3, ADTS, AIFF, AL, AMB, AMR, APE, AU, AVR, BONK, CAF, CDR, CVU, DAT, DTS, DVMS, F32, F64, FAP, FLA, FLAC, FSSD, GSRT, HCOM, IMA, IRCAM, LA, MAT, AUD, MAT4, MAT5, M4A, M4R, MP2, MP3, MP4, MP4A, MPC, MPP, NIST, OFF, OFR, OFS, OPUS, OGA,OGG, PAF, PRC, PVF, RA, RAM, RAW, RF64, SD2, SF, SHN, SMP, SND,SOU, SPX, SRN, TAK, TTA, TXW, VOC, VMS, VQF, W64, WAV, WMA, and WV. It can also extract audio from the following video extensions: RM, RV, ASF, DivX, MPG, MKV, MPEG, AVI, MOV, OGM, OGV, QT, VCD, SVCD, M4V, NSV, NUV, PSP, SMK, VOB, FLV, WEBM and WMV. Parallel Processing, a CD ripping function with CDDB support, batch conversion, tag preservation for most supported formats, independent tag reading & writing, service menus for KDE Dolphin/Konqueror, Gnome Nautilus script, and action scripts for Nemo/Thunar are also provided.

Converts a toc generated by cdrdao (or similar) to a .cue as known from tools like EAC. Works only for CD_DA toc.

mp3burn is a simple command line tool for making audio CDs from mp3s, oggs or FLACs without filling up your disk with .wav files. It requires perl, mpg123, oggenc, flac and cdrecord.

A suite of applications to manipulate (ambman) and convert (wav2amb, amb2caf) ambisonic audiofiles and informational utilities (ambcalc, ambchan, ambinfo). Manipulations include soundfield rotation, zooming and meta-data reading and creation.

GNU/Shoes is a wrapper for the Sox audio utility. Written in Perl for Linux and Win32, GNU/Shoes aids the tedious process of converting large numbers of audio files, and provides Jabber messages to notify the user that a batch is complete.

Complete new web project from me from 2014 realizing a youtube video downloader inclusive mp3 converting process. The project is coded in php, perl, jquery, ajax and css3. the web design is simple, but you can use it to set up new content. i dont publish the songtext content, but i give you all 30 perl created crawlers that extract content from lyrics and songtext webpages via wget. perl crawlers will then parse out the songtext content out of it. A GUI for dvd to matroska backups, bitterbpp uses autodetection and bits/pixel estimates to generate high quality output. It features multiple audio/subtitle track capabilities (direct copy and/or vorbis transcoding), and supports different video codecs.

DVD2MP3 is a perl script which converts audio tracks on a DVD into id3 tagged mp3 files. It was written for Linux, though it could probably be used on other Unixes with little trouble. It requires mplayer, lame, lsdvd, MP3::Tag and Term::ReadLine.

".ECW file" or "waveset" refers to a file with an extension of ".ECW" which stores articulation and sample data used by the MIDI synthesizer of sound cards equipped with an ES1370, ES1371, or ES1373 chip. These sound cards include the Ensoniq AudioPCI, the Sound Blaster! AudioPCI, the Sound Blaster! PCI64, the Sound Blaster! PCI128, and the Sound Blaster Live!. This project is a Perl script which can unpack these files into a .WAV sample, and a corresponding .SFZ file (an open format used by various sample engines to describe sample playback.)
