    VOX-FE

Voxel-based Finite Element Analysis for Biomechanical Applications

VOX-FE is voxel-based FE software, developed jointly between the University of Hull's Medical & Biological Engineering Research Group and Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre, with a sophisticated graphical user interface that allows the complex loading regimes that are inevitably present in biomechanical analyses to be readily applied to the model geometry, and the resultant 3D stress and strain patterns to be visualized easily. In addition to the introduction above, several example videos are available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjtjrM1Z1JQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVp1u1jlD3g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nT4xWlcm7aQ We also recorded a webinar with ARCHER, presenting VOX-FE 2.0: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

    Folder

Toolbox for modelling deformation in layered media in 2D

...It includes a graphical user interface that allows for easy designing of complex geometrical models, defining material parameters (including linear and non-linear rheology), and specifying type and amount of deformation. It also includes a range of features that facilitate the visualization and examination of various relevant quantities e.g. velocities, stress, rate of deformation, pressure, and finite strain. Folder contains a separate application, which illustrates analytical solutions of growth rate spectra for buckling and necking of a single viscous layer. YAFEMS

Yet Another Finite Element Method Solver

YAFEMS (Yet Another Finite Element Method Solver) is a FEM solver for Linux and WIndows that reads a MED mesh file produced by Salome (http://www.salome-platform.org/) with certain groups created into the mesh, and with the help of an input text file (.yaf), performs a 3D or 2D plane stress or plane strain analysis and creates results in plain text format and in MED format. This way a complete analysis can be carried inside Salome, where a mesh file can be created, exported and read by YAFEMS with the help of a .yaf input file and post-processed within Salome using ParaView. New in v0.4 - More performance boost due to the implementation of the Cuthill-McKee algorithm.

    TASC NASA

    TASC NASA

Tool for Analysis of Surface Cracks (TASC)

...The only required inputs are the surface crack dimensions (2c and a), plate cross-section dimensions (W and B), and linear plus power law material properties of elastic modulus, yield strength, and strain hardening coefficient. With the geometry and material parameters entered, TASC interpolates to the appropriate J(φ) vs. crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) and far-field tension stress, σ, vs. CMOD solution, providing the full solution as CMOD ranges from zero out to the CMOD limit of the solution space for the given input parameters.
