    Open Flight Instrument

    Open Flight Instrument

OFI is a free and versatile flight instrument for gliders and planes

Open Flight Instrument (OFI) is the attempt to provide a flexible and versatile flight instrument primarily for gliders and paragliders based on smartphones, tablets and any HTML5 enabled device. In contrast to other attempts we base on pure web technology i.e. HTML5 to visualize and JavaScript to process the data. Access to specific hardware such as barometric sensors is provided via a tiny local web server (the only platform specific part) as cross domain calls.
