Bridge Hand Creator and Replay
Allows to create, save, load or replay bridge hands.
The application can create bridge hands with constraints, load and save PBN and LIN files, replay hands, call the double dummy solver in the net, including bidding and play, import LIN from the clipboard, export hands to HTML. Hands can be created with side conditions such "sAKxxx" or "E: >14 <20". A Java runtime is needed. Start with "java -jar bridge.jar". The source is included in the jar-file. -

Fuzzy Ecospace Modelling
FEM allows users to create fuzzy functional groups for use in ecology.
...FEM clusters n-dimensional matrices of functional traits (ecospace matrices – here called the Training Matrix) into functional groups and converts them into fuzzy functional groups using fuzzy discriminant analysis (Lin and Chen 2004 – see main text for more information). Following this, FEM classifies the functional entities from a second matrix (the Test Matrix) into the groups made using the Training Matrix, generating fuzzy membership values for each unit in the Test Matrix. Calculates temperature variations and stresses in fresh concrete.
...This allows users to find out the temperature distribution, strength development, thermal stresses and risk of cracking in the body. It is based on a semi-empirical hydration model developed by Lin and Meyer in 2009, which itself is based on Arrhenius equation. It also uses finite element method to distribute heat and stresses. Strength is calculated on the basis of strength-porosity relationships. This program is very flexible and accounts for chemical composition of cement, water-cement ratio, fineness, size of the body, etc. -
