    TopoIndices

Calculator of topological indices of molecular graphs (from SDF file)

...Because the JustBASIC is rather slow interpreter, the LB Booster was used to prepare the binary executable. The speed of execution was about 4 times greater. The program was tested on JustBASIC 2.0 and LB Booster 3.10 (Windows 10). Anyone can transpile the code to the BBC Basic and execute it on a suitable platform. As I mentioned above - the program "molecules02.bas" is the first step on the way to develop interesting solutions for molecular graph analysis

    Elite Planet Browser

    Elite Planet Browser

Browse through the planets of the Elite game on various Z80 machines

...It allows you to browse through the planet data of the Elite game on many old Z80-based computers. When the original game came out in 1984, many people wondered how it is possible to have detailed data of so many planets in the 16K RAM memory of the BBC Micro. The trick behind this is a clever algorithm based on a pseudo-random number sequence, and this algorithm is reproduced here in this program. Currently, 85 target systems are supported, including Sinclair ZX81, Jupiter Ace, ColecoVision, MSX, Tandy TRS-80, Sharp MZ, and many more. 2026-03-08: - New targets supported: Epson PX-4/PX-8 Mitsubishi Multi 8 Sanyo MBC-200/1200 Sharp PC-G850 Tandy TRS-80 M2 TIM-011 Triumph Adler P2 Xerox 820

    Imager.js

    Imager.js

Responsive images while we wait for srcset to finish cooking

Imager.js is an alternative solution to the issue of how to handle responsive image loading, created by developers at BBC News. There are many responsive image solutions in the wild, srcset, src-n, PictureFill and so on. They are either verbose or hard to debug (and to maintain/integrate). Some of them don't deal well with pixel density and suffer from double asset payload (meaning you end up downloading assets unnecessarily). We wanted something simple, which works and which is fast as well as network friendly (only download what you need, when you need it). ...
