Example files for testing Linux 2.6 on PS2 ########################################## initrd2.6_v1.gz is a limited kernel. initrd2.6_v1.gz is a simple initrd. This is just a proove of concept. Kernelloader 2.4 is required. I have tested this with my fat PS2 SCPH-50004 and VGA. This is working with the default configuration of kernelloader. You will see the startup messages of Linux 2.6 and some test output on the screen. This is not usable because there is no hardware support (except graphic). Advanced Linux developers should be able to execute everything which fits into the initrd. You need files from a Linux distribution for mipsel. Only ABI 32 will work. ABI n32 or 64 can fail because of unsupported 64 bit multiplication instructions and there is no support in the 32 bit kernel. The files are build on a Debian 5.0 from CVS with tag LINUX_2_6_V1.
