Hi All

Just migrated live system to V7.3 and discovered that saving images no longer works.  This can be from contacts, users or products.  There is no error message and images are uploaded to the storage folder but do not show when the records are refreshed.

I also now get an error (which I think is related) when linking emails to contacts using the Outlook Plugin.  This fails with a 'database query error' message if there is an attachment with the email (e.g. a PDF).  Again, the file (in this case the PDF) is saved in the storage folder but the email is not linked to the contact record.  This used to work fine and emails without attachments can still be linked.

Anyone seen this or have any idea how to fix it.

One of my organizations has assigned 1800 documents, but that is a by
mistake.
Please can you tell me how to remove all of those documents at once?
Related lists has no mass edit function....

Hi there,

I have upgrade to VTiger CRM 6.2.0 and I've got a new problem. I can not edit an
user oder create a new one. I always get this error:

{"success":false,"error":{"code":"result is not an object","message":"result is
not an object"}}

There are lots of NOTICE, STRICT and DEPRECATED warnings in php_errors.log, but
no explicit ERROR. So I guess there is a logical error in the code itself.

Any suggestsions how to solve this? I am able to understand and edit PHP code,
but I am not experienced with the whole VTiger code and how all parts work
together in this whole bunch of code. ;)

I think it is because your make a join so you must precise the tablename in
your select fields or sql can be confused...
eg: $sql = "select vtiger_contactdetails.accountname from vtiger_account....

Hi,

Just trying to get access to forge.vtiger.com to upload some files. I
registered the project yesterday.

The instructions say to use the format :

svn checkout
svn+ssh://developername@svn.forge.vtiger.com/svnroot/pdf-templ-amend

I'm not sure which name to use for 'developername' - is it my forge
login, email address, my full name (and if so, in what format) or
something completely different ?

If I use my login name and password, I can't get in.

I have managed to get anonymous access going.

Being a newbie at this stuff are there any pointers from more
experienced hands please ?

FWIW I don't think vTiger is necessarily the right system for you.

There are specialist systems around that handle bookings/rentals for
apartments & properties. You would have to do an awful lot of work with
vTiger to make it fit your requirements and make it even remotely like
some of the systems out there. There is no point in reinventing the wheel.

I can give you further details if you want to email me directly (I use
vTiger quite happily for our main business and another system entirely
for some property management)

The answer is changing SELECT accountname to SELECT *

I'm trying to hack the PDF Configurator so that the P.O. displays both a
billing address (Ours - not the customers, which is useless) and the
shipping address

I'm actually stuck on how to query the account.id from the contact.id to
get the correct Account name for a Contact to add to the shipping address


If I use phpmyadmin with the following statement, I can get the Account Name

select accountname from vtiger_account, vtiger_contactdetails where
vtiger_account.accountid = vtiger_contactdetails.accountid and
vtiger_contactdetails.contactid = 28610

In the PDF creator there is the following code which I think gets the PO
information :

I've said often that Campaigns needs sorting out.

Yes, maybe there should be an easy option to Add to Campaign, but I get
round this by making a filter in Leads and one in Contacts then
importing using the filter.

No Bulk anything. What about Bulk Select when you want to email 500
people, let alone delete them from the Campaign ??

The only way I get round it is to do it in the evening and change the
number displayed per page to say 100 in config.inc.php and then you only
need to select a few pages. Messy....... very messy. It has been
suggested elsewhere that it should be possible to change this value in
the CRM rather than hacking a config file.

I also wonder why the figures from Potentials/Quotes/SO/Inv cannot be
added to the Campaign. The numbers are there, the relationships are
there, so I don't think it's rocket science, though beyond my meagre skills.

There is what I consider to be a bug with the TB3 extension in the way 
in which it saves emails to vtiger.

On my computer(s) I run Ubuntu Linux and when I save emails from TB to 
vtiger, all formatting is lost. if the mail is plaintext I lose line 
breaks, if the mail is html I lose all html too.

We've just had a bug report submitted

This seems to suggest that as well as formatting being lost, on Windows, 
mails with line breaks are not being saved at all and an error is 
reported. Can anyone else confirm this? (I do not have Windows anywhere).

And before I start digging into this in depth, anyone care to suggest if 
this is likely to be happening at the "vtiger end" of the connection 
rather than in the TB extension itself?

Hi,

With the ability to have sub-products within a bundle, I have a client 
that wants to be able to generate Purchase Orders for the sub products 
automatically when ordering the Parent. (i.e. The parent product is not 
a real entity itself, but composed of the sub-products).

Example:

Client sells printed T-Shirts. The T-Shirt would be a parent product 
comprising of 2 sub products:

	A plain t-shirt
	Printing Services

When they have an order for 50 T-Shirts they would like to be able to 
auto generate the appropriate Purchase Orders for the plain t-shirts and 
the printing.

Is this possible?

There appears to be three annoying problems with this now:

1. No undo!
2. No way to identify which leads were added when so I could manually 
delete them from the db
3. No bulk delete in the campaign screen. I have 122 pages of 20 leads. 
Am I supposed to select each page in turn to delete them all?

This facility really needs some TLC for the next release.

Is it me? Or is there no easy way to export the leads/contacts that we 
have selected to go into a specific campaign?

I'd expect a button somewhere on the "More Information" tab so I can 
export all the Leads &/or Contacts in one go.
