Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

Is it safe to assume then that TurboCash is dead... -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Fwd: [Turbocash-developers] Latest Source Code] Date: Sat, 10 Jan 2004 02:32:50 +0200 From: Andrew Higgs <ah...@ps...> To: TC-DEVEL <tur...@li...> Is anyone there? If this is going to work I think more discussion is required. Is the 3.72 source available? Nothing is changing at sf. Lets get the ball rolling....TcKernel.dpr refers to pas units in ..\..\sylvain.... dir which is not included in the zip. What are they? What are they for? and do we really need them or can they be replaced with standard units?? Regards Andrew Higgs -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [Turbocash-developers] Latest Source Code Date: Thu, 13 Nov 2003 14:10:23 +0200 From: Andrew Higgs <ah...@ps...> To: TC-DEVEL <tur...@li...> Hi all I am going to try to port TurboCASH to freepascal. Is anyone on the list using freepascal and lazarus? Can I download the latest source code yet (3.72). I assume that some non Open Source dependencies should have been removed by now and some general code clean up will have taken place. Philip suggests that I start with TcKernel. This I shall do, but it is going to be quite difficult as I do not yet have a working copy of Delphi 6. Some of the files listed in the uses clause are foreign to me and am not sure what they are used for (COMSERV being the very first listed in the dpr). So when Delphi is running here I can at least try to figure out what all the files are for and try to figure out what the freepascal equivalents (if any) might be.
