it should be Jonny's post from where I got the address of the chat room. I
tried again, and it doesn't work at all. The outdated chat isn't there any
longer. 

Then there's that page on tiki.org about the chat, with a link, that doesn't
seem to work either:

This also doesn't work:

https://gitter.im/tiki-org/community

I just tried your link, and it wants me to choose an app. I hadn't
experienced this before. You can choose a web based login (as an "app"), but
I can't login any longer. I don't have an account. I don't know how I logged
in last time, but I can't use my Tiki account.

Confusing. Someone from the team should update that "Chat" page on tiki.org.

and click "Search in Content". Then this error message appears:

"Malformed search query: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation:
1064 table tiki_main_692e5632d2904: alias 'tracker_field_u_user' must be
unique (conflicts with another alias)"

I'm only now about to start testing 27.x properly on php 8.4 so hopefully any remaining wrinkles should be fixed soon, but i've heard it runs ok (tiki-check.php says it's fine!)

It looks like the first one is out of sync. 

The problem is, that Ondrej Sury's PHP packages support only the latest LTS-
Version of Ubuntu (24.04). So I'm wondering if Tiki 27 will work with PHP
8.4. My Tiki27-Version is 27.2, and that doesn't work with PHP 8.4. Could it
be that Tiki 27.5 works with PHP 8.4?

I tried the "Fake it till you make it" approach, but that doesn't work. FYI,

two newsletters (Tiki Releases / Tiki News). I get the very helpful message
"Error - Newsletter not subscribed", after entering my Email address and the
anti-spam field, and clicking on "Subscribe".

Hi,

I have noticed a strange behavior at tiki-register.php.

When I fill out the form and enter the captcha code, validation takes
place via Ajax. A “true” is returned. 
When the form is submitted, I get an error message because of an
incorrect code.

Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong? I use a tracker
for two additional parameters. The same is working fine in tiki 21.

Well, I missed Gary and luciash's help (on the chat).

Gary provided one idea and then luciash solved it by purely Tiki's
homepage-related preferences.

Now onto converting one of my sites from Dokuwiki to Tiki...

while testing CalDAV/CardDAV features in Tiki, I'm testing them against
my Baikal server which uses Digest authentication, but it look that in
Content Authorization in Tiki, there is only option for Basic?

I, finally, want to learn/master Tiki...

Have a need to migrate Dokuwiki blog to Tiki and would like blog to the
homepage.

In my archives, there are great epub published my Rick, long ago, but
it seems that things have changed in the meantime.

Asked AI how to accomplish the task, but based on its instructions -
see the screenshot - the procedure also does not fit the current
reality (Tiki-28.3), so I wonder what do I miss?

I am upgrading from tiki21 to tiki27. I have two custom modules, each
with a php and a tpl file. Where should I place these files in tiki 27?
As before in /modules (for php) and templates/modules/ (for tpl)?

Yes, things changed a lot between tiki 21 and 27, new version of bootstrap (possibly two) and a new node.js based build system (amongst other new toys).

that done automatically or via some console.php action? Do I have to

I've just noticed that 8.4 isn't a supported PHP version for Tiki 27. Looks
like the deprecation warnings really have been introduced in PHP 8.4.

I found the reason for the loop in tiki-install.php, which I've described in
the thread "Installer: "session_start(): Session cannot be started..."".

Like I said, I get a lot of deprecation warnings at the top of the installer
output. Then the installer wants to set a cookie, but it can't, because
there already has been output.

To solve the problem, the deprecation warnings must be made to disappear. I
don't know why they are there. Maybe they were introduced in a newer PHP
version. I have PHP 8.4.7. 

I've configured PHP in php.ini not to display deprecation warnings, by
setting display_errors and error_reporting to the appropriate values. But
many of the Tiki source files override this setting. So does tiki-
install.php.

Inserting the following at the very top of tiki-install.php doesn't get rid
