Hai everyone, what do I do with the "new" potfile? Do I have to msgmerge? Isn't this okay: 1) getting the CVS version, 2) ./autogen.sh? Thanks, Daniel |

Hi I'm Carlos Fenollosa, and will be the spanish translator. When you finish modifying the strings, please send the original potfile to the list and I'll translate it ASAP Greetings! Hello Translators, Developers There is already a bug in somewhere in the about dialog. The string isn't translated to German (maybe others). But the string is translated in "de.po" . Cheers Carsten Luedtke |

Hi All.. I'll be updating some strings etc over the next couple of days and putting a new gTweakUI pot file on the webpage... If I could get the translations done over the next couple of weeks that would be good. The next version is going to have a metacity dialog and it's going to take me a while to write anyway.. The French and German translations are very up to date but the other ones will be a little bit behind.. Daniel.. |

Hai everyone, I just translated gTweakUI into german. I already translated mlview and have a great liking for GNOME in general, so I hope to be of service. :-) Well, I'm supposed to introduce myself, so: I'm 25 years old and in the final chapter of my computer science studies. Currently, I'm packed up in work. My diploma thesis includes protosquared - http://protosquared.sourceforge.net , but currently the exams and another project I work on consume most of my time. In general, I enjoy reading (Henry Miller is my newest discovery), listening to all kinds of music, have a walk with my dog, but at the moment I just try not to slip below the water line. (I make it sound more horrible than it really is, I'm quite alright) Well, gTweakUI looks really cool, keep up the good work, have a nice day, Daniel |

Make sure the word 'fuzzy' doesn't appear in any comments.. just remove any whole lines that contain it... Apart from that if you send it to me I should be able to get it to work.. I have a minor problem with the about dialog. The translated message string is in the 'po' file, but it's still untranslated in the app. The rest goes fine. This is the problematic part: #: src/about.glade.h:4 msgid "" "gTweakUI provides extra configuration dialogs for gnome 2.0+\n" "gTweakUI is Copyright =A9 2004." msgstr "" "gTweakUI bietet zus=E4tzliche Einstellungsdialoge f=FCr Gnome 2.0+\n" "gTweakUI is Copyright @ 2004." |

Hi Carsten,
Place the .po file (I assume it's de.po?) into the gTweakUI-0.0.6/po
directory. Then edit gTweakUI-0.0.6/configure.ac and add 'de' to the
list 'ALL_LINGAS' .. I think the list may be empty in 0.0.6 so just put
'de' into the quotes (').
Once this is done type ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr from the
gTweakUI-0.0.6 directory and then build and install as usual..
That *should* work.
btw.. I'm not sure of the German country code so I've used 'de'. If this
isn't correct just replace it in the details above..
Hope that helps,
Daniel

I have translated it into "german" just to see if I can. But I don't know how to add it to the source to check if it works? Is there a manpage on this po stuff available? Or any other suggestions? |
