    echoes

    echoes

Echoes is a radio spectral analysis software for SDR devices

Echoes it's a radio spectral analysis software for SDR devices, designed for meteor scattering purposes. The older releases supported only RTL-SDR devices. They are very cheap SDR based on DVB-T TV tuner dongles based on Realtek's RTL2832U chipset. Starting from 0.50 Echoes embeds SoapySDR allowing the support of many other SDRs. Echoes doesn't demodulate neither decode any human-made signal. Its main goal is to analyze and record the total power of natural signals and generate screenshots and tabular data (CSV,) output in presence of particular peaks in a selected narrow range of frequencies. Since there is no demodulation, there is no provision for audio listening, except for a notify sound when an event has been recorded. Finally, Echoes can also operate getting an audio input, thus producing audio spectra. This way, Echoes can also be used with traditional receivers.

    70cm-ham-radio-fox-hunt-receiver

70cm Amateur Radio Fox Hunt CW receiver - Heltec V3 ESP32 LoRa Board

This project is intended to be coupled with my other LoRa board based project, 70cm Ham Radio Fox Hunt Beacon, which can be found at the link below: https://lora-ham-fox-hunt-beacon-70cm.sourceforge.io The receiver, also ESP32 LoRa-based, is designed for simplicity and accessibility, requiring minimal user setup. It features an OLED display providing real-time frequency readout and received signal strength indication (RSSI), presented numerically in dBm, as an S-meter value, and via a graphical bar. The system supports direction-finding applications, with provision for a compact 4-element Yagi antenna to enhance signal localisation. CODE FOR THIS PROJECT HAS NOW BEEN RELEASED. Download the Arduino Sketch from the Files section. If you are new to ARDUINO, then please download the 'Quick Start Guide' from the File section.

    WSJT

    WSJT

    Weak signal ham radio communication

The WSJT project implements software for amateur radio communication using state-of-the-art digital techniques. Typical applications involve "DXing" at LF, MF, HF, and VHF+ frequencies, including meteor scatter and EME ("moonbounce"). Major emphasis is placed on weak-signal techniques. Summary Program Descriptions: WSJT-X supports the communication protocols FST4, FT4, FT8, JT4, JT9, JT65, Q65, MSK144, WSPR, FST4W, and Echo, each optimized for different sorts of radio-wave propagation. MAP65 and QMAP are designed for EME at VHF and higher frequencies. MAP65 provides a panoramic, polarization-matching receiver for the Q65 and JT65. modes. QMAP works together with WSJT-X to provide a panoramic receiver for Q65 modes covering a 90 kHz sub-band. Programs WSJT and WSPR are interesting primarily for historical reasons. They are superseded by WSJT-X.

    mshv-auto-dx-chaser

    mshv-auto-dx-chaser

Autonomous, intelligent DX hunting engine for MSHV ham radio software

What if your radio could hunt DX the way you do? The Auto DX Chaser watches the bands with the patience of a seasoned operator. It knows P5 is worth dropping everything for. It knows to keep calling that rare African station a little longer. And when someone finally comes back to you, it locks on and never lets go—just like you wouldn't walk away from an in-progress QSO. This isn't automation. It's intuition, codified. The system pulls intelligence from RBN, PSKReporter, and DX Clusters simultaneously—but only calls stations YOUR radio can actually hear. It scores every decode using Club Log's "Most Wanted" rankings, signal quality, and what you still need. New all-time DXCC? Top priority. Already worked on this band? Skip it. Search and pounce only. Never calls CQ. Waits for the DX to appear, then pounces—exactly like you would during a DXpedition pileup. Your shack. Your radio. Your log. Just smarter hunting. By HamB0T. 73!
